Our commitment to the people of Türkiye

We were devastated to learn of the destruction in Türkiye and Syria following the Kahramanmaras earthquake.

In response, we immediately reached out to our long-term brand partner and denim mill Bossa located in Adana. We remain in communication with Bossa, and express our heartfelt sympathies to all affected.

We reaffirm our commitment to the people of Türkiye and to the Sağ Salim communications program designed in partnership with Precisions Solutions Group (PSG) to support and protect Turkish cotton farmers and migrant workers from Syria.

This program will become increasingly important as the knock-on effects from the earthquake are felt in the supply chain down to the farm level. Bossa is also a valued partner and proponent of the program.

As Outland Denim customers, your patronage will help us to continue to support and fund such programs: delivering outcomes to the people working every day to create a brighter future for humanity.

Thank you for supporting us and our brand partners,

James and the Outland Denim team

WANT TO HELP RESPONSE AND RECOVERY INITIATIVES?
In crisis situations we need to get help to the frontlines as soon as possible.
We have put together a small (by no means comprehensive) list of humanitarian organisations that you can support to help the people of Türkiye and Syria in response and recovery.
We have tried to keep things local and ask that you would do your own due diligence before committing funds - we are simply getting the ball rolling:
- AKUT: a voluntary NGO involved in searching, rescuing and assisting those affected by the earthquake. They are fully transparent about donations received. Donations accepted in EUR and USD at http://akut.org.tr/donation
@akutdernegi
- AHBAP: another localised voluntary network active in the affected regions. You can donate via credit card at bagis.ahbap.org
@ahpap
- AFAD: Türkiye's official disaster and emergency management authority. http://afad.gov.tr/depremkampanyasi2
@afadhatay
- The Union of Medical Care and Relief Organisations: has been providing independent relief and medical care to the victims of the war in Syria since 2012. http://uossm.org/donate_now
- OXFAM: a global organisation fighting poverty and injustice. http://oxfam.org.au
- World Vision Türkiye Syria Earthquake Appeal: global organisation fighting poverty and injustice. http://www.worldvision.com.au
